This is update is in progress and so the current game does not feature or look like the video. 

Journey Galaxis was my very first game which began life around 12 years ago! I had no idea what it meant to make games and little knowledge and went for an engine called RPG Maker. Over the years I began to learn to do things with the engine beyond it's normal capability and to celebrate 12 years of this games life I have gone back to help it grow in to the game I hoped I could have made back then!

There's been a significant amount of work which has gone in to making the game fit for higher resolution displays as RPG Maker VXAce is meant for a resolution below 600x400! Not only that I had issues with text looking blurry due to text stretching and so I've really gone above and beyond to really get the look of the game modernised.

There's an incredible amount of new features from Camping while exploring, to upgrading skills and abilities, making the tradeskills such as mining and fishing more fun and more interesting. It's been a day and night process since December as I wanted to also take part in RPG Makers event dedicated to all the RPG Maker engines but was left broken hearted as you need to have games on Steam to do this.

I develop games out of love and admiration, it's a passion which I take no payment for doing so although I tried and failed. This project was my very first and it will hopefully gain a little more support with many of the fixes, imrpovements and additions to the already huge game. The update is not out yet and I wanted to share one of the new additions to mining which has been given a whole extra expansion of it's own.

These new side-scrolling maps are handmade and give an extra dimension to the game. Please enjoy and if possible support the project which has relied very little on AI and is a huge labour of love of 12 years. A special mention also goes out to Anwynn for the battle sprites for the main characters.
