Progress so far.
Hello, thanks for returning.
If you're new to my posts, this is my first and only game I've been working on for 7-8 years. The game will be free for everyone to play and has 4-8 hours of game-play with a massive story, new film like music score, game challenges and split in to 10 chapters. It's like playing a Netflix series where you're a part of the adventure.
I am hoping that some will choose to donate after playing, to support new content being released. It's not had much luck in the past. This has been a huge task to complete in hopes people will enjoy it enough to help it grow. A release date and new game title will be announced very soon. This game will only be available on Itch.io.
I am ever so grateful to anyone who is following, offering feedback, or support. I'm doing my best to return the thanks for putting up with some terrible early access problems. I've learned allot, and hope not to fall flat after everything.
To kick things off. New enemy sprites.
I've aimed at making the story more dark, and the enemies were far too cute to take seriously. I've never gone to any professional for the sprites. I had considered that option a number of times though. Learning to make monsters, as with much of the graphics in the game, has became a huge part of my game making process to keep the overall cost of the project down. There are only a few types of enemies in the game. I'm focusing on making these really stand out.
The monsters that you face will have a number of sprites with each showing how strong or weak the monster becomes during battle. They fit in so much better than the cute style that I created originally when the game was mostly bright and bubbly.
These monsters are just the tip of what the adventure has in store. You'll find the world is in much bad shape to where you left it when the game ended during Chapter 4. For those starting a new game, you'll learn about how much of the world has been brought in to a darkness that is ever growing.
I've poured many more hours on the script making sure each dialogue you read makes sense. The writing has been a growing experience as I never did well with English at school. I began working in jobs over the last 8 years where I could improve my written English. I can't say the writing will be perfect. The script will be allot better than it has been.
That's all I have for now. I'll update further next week. Thanks so much for your understanding.
