Some further updates for the new jrpg content.
You may have ran in to Betsy while you were playing during Chapter 1. She owns a small farm, and when I say small, it was tiny, and really crammed together in Varoona Forest. I've now made a separate location for Betsy on the world map for the next update. I did this because Varoona Forest is quite full of events, and because of all the events it makes FPS become quite poor for this type of 2D game using RPG Maker.
The good news is, Betsy, and her farm are looking much better in the new farm location. The only problems are the monsters making it difficult for her to actually run the farm, which she recently purchased, as the previous owner had abandoned it. Which leaves even more unanswered questions.
Betsy is trying her best, but the monsters are stealing her crops. She can't do this alone, and her husband is already hard at work trying to stop the waves of annoying monsters from approaching the farm. Will you take your time to help Betsy, and her husband with their farm?
It's your story outside of the main story, a bit of a tribute to my favourite farm sim game, Harvest Moon :) Please support my project if you enjoy playing. This new side story will be out when Chapter 5 arrives, it's just taking a little longer to complete and feel happy you will enjoy playing.

that looks great :) i never played Harvest Moon but i remember seeing that name on playstation 3 online store, i only played farmville on facebook long ago
Those types of sim games are great to play. The side story needs to be completed in Chapter 1 at the moment. I'm working on a way of travelling between lands you have visited. It will be a feature in future. But, how this works will be worked in to the story.
i might give it a try to that game someday :) i when i am not too busy with other things like i am now .

I'm redesigning Varoona forest today. I was so nervous about it. It's better to do it now than later. I feel like I need to update with a better tutorial map, and it's allot less laggy than the old one.
i can understand it's a lot of work and that you can feel nervous about it , i hope you will be able to do it the way you want :)
you mean the tutorial map after the first tutorial battle with the giant armored guy? i'm sure all will be ok :)
Yes, that's the map. New Varoona will be more open and have the important parts bundled together in a big open map with the newer graphics. I found the old version was all over the place and clustered together. It is one of the oldest made maps which was left behind, and I'm gladly almost done remaking the forest area.
