The new update for Journey Galaxis is going to be wild! There's a great amount of improvements ahead and Hard Mode is one of the biggest additions to the game since it had released 3-4 years ago. Hard Mode comes with risks, and a bigger challenge. Not only that, certain parts of the game completely change due to playing that mode and different story paths will replace easier ones so that hard mode doesn't feel like a rinse and repeat! It'll give a new level of difficulty with bonus extras!

I wanted to go above and beyond the usual expectations of a harder game mode. Most games will just make the enemies harder and stop there. My plan with hard mode is to give it something completely new and unexpected. For example, early in to the game the very first main quest in casual mode will see the player completing deliveries of food as an introduction to the story. It's relaxed, no battles, just deliver the food and when that quest is done, the player can then get in to battles and continue on. 

In hard mode the delivery quest doesn't exist! Something else takes place and the player is thrown into chaos! My plan is to give certain parts of the story a side path so that hard mode doesn't feel like the exact same game. It's a new path with similar stops, and I feel that the players will appreciate the extra effort in addition to some of the other game changes that will occour in that mode.

It's been a lot of work and I've had to make sure everything clicks together. I'm doing a lot of testing to make sure events will do exactly what they need to do. The update for Journey Galaxis which will include Hard Mode is going to be released at some point in December. I'll add more news on the date when I have completed all of the updates and tested the full game.

The update will improve the overall game no matter which mode is picked. I really hope you'll enjoy playing and I'll do my best to get things done as best as possible with the utmost care and attention.
